Margo graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. After four years of work in the engineering field, she decided to follow her heart, enrolling in Columbus State and earning an associate degree in Veterinary Technology. (She's too humble to tell you that she was the class valedictorian.) She has been working at the Animal Medical & Emergency Hospital for eight years. Margo and her husband, Scott, are the proud parents of two dogs and two daughters, ages seven and two. She enjoys movies, excercising, and camping. |
 Carolyn, B.A., R.V.T. Buster

Carolyn is a graduate of Upper Arlington High School, and has a Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University. She obtained her associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Columbus State Community College and has been an employee of The Animal Medical Emergency Hospital since April, 2003. Carolyn lives in a multi-cat household and also has one extraordinary dog named Buster. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoys gardening, reading, spending time outside walking or riding her bicycle. |
Andrea, M.A. Glamour

Andrea has been with the Animal Medical & Emergency Hospital as Kennel Manager since 2002. Holding an M.A. in Counseling and Guidance, her background includes psychology, biology, medical education, mental health/rehabilitation, pet grooming and dog training. A member of The International Association of Canine Behavior Modification, Andrea owns and operates a dog training business. Her time is divided between working at the AMEH, training dogs and entertaining her current canine companion - Glamour, a Whippet. |
Sandy, R.V.T., B.S.

As a student in a Cleveland high school, Sandy completed a two year vocational animal care
program. She worked in a Maple Heights animal care
center as a kennel caretaker/veterinary assistant for five years. She attended the first year of the Veterinary Technician program at
Cuyahoga Community College in Parma. and the second year at Columbus State Community College. Sandy's internships were at the Ohio State University Veterinary
Hospital and Children's Hospital in the
Animal Research wing. Sandy join the team at AMEH in 1993 as an R.V.T. Later, she completed a B.S. in Microbiology from the Ohio State University. Currently Sandy works
full-time as a lab scientist and part-time as a veterinary technician for AMEH. Sandy enjoys working with Dr. Griffith, the patients, staff and clients. |
| Darrin, B.S. |
Darrin graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Ohio, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Ohio Dominican University. Darrin has been working as a kennel assistant and veterinary assistant since April of 2008. This fall, he will start school at Columbus State Community College to earn an Associate Degree in Animal Science, and to become an Registered Veterinary Technician. Darrin's hobbies include playing tennis and going to movies. Darrin has two cats and a dog. |
 Barb, R.V.T.

Barb is a graduate of Upper Arlington High School. She also attended Columbus Technical Institute, now known as Columbus State Community College, earning an Associate Degree in Animal Health. She has worked with Dr. Griffith since June of 1977. She resides in New Albany with her husband Brad, black Labrador, Boomer, and cats Jib and Helmsly. Barb and Brad enjoy sailing on Lake Erie with their four children. Barb also enjoys gardening. We are grateful to have had Barb on the staff for all of her adult life! |
Gayle, B.S. Smokey |
Gayle grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from the University of Utah, spent two years traveling the U.S. and Canada for Kappa Kappa Gamma, then met and married Dr. Griffith. They have two daughters, two sons, and five grandsons. Gayle wears many hats at AMEH, including administrative work and filling in where needed. Her favorite duty is nurturing of our fabulous staff. Over the years, the Griffiths have had cats, dogs, horses, guinea pigs, fish, birds, and hamsters. Gayle enjoys gardening, cooking, and family game night. |
